I really dunno why everyone hates this track. Am a massive fan of this track and the lyrics have real meaning behind them if you listen to them properly. So maybe Richard isn't the best vocalist for this tune, but its still a damn good song...

It was when I heard this out clubbing that I totally got this track.
Everytime I've heard the original mix in a club the place goes nuts, with lots of people singing along. The 'whooooaah' parts especially, it seems to bring everyone together and there's a wonderful sense of euphoria during the track.
Exceptionally well engineered it cuts through extremely well both at home, in the clubs and in the big arenas (sounded amazing in the Global Gathering Gods tent last year).
Male vocals aren't to everyones tastes which is fair enough, but I like them, makes a nice change from the usual auto-tuned to death flat vocals you get on some trance tracks.

Everything sounds good live, it's no excuse for the track to sound at home. |

I'm not sure I'd enjoy a death metal concert live myself, so I don't quite see your point there, I guess you felt the need to somehow diminish my experience of this particular track generating a big reaction (moreso than a lot of other tracks played out I've noticed) by passing that off as a given for all.
You find the track at home, I like it at home. Thats fair enough :)

No, what I mean is that whenever I go to a trance party and/or a club I find pretty much every tune I listen to good. Anything listened to a louder volume than home listening is usually good. It's not until when you listen to music at home when you actually hear it at home/work/where-ever you might normally listen to music at. That's when you truly hear every little detail of the track and the work that was put into it.
I have heard a lot of tracks being played live and none of them have cleared the dancefloor, and quite a few of those tracks have sounded quite awful when I've listened to them later at home. And yes, those tracks include some of the ones I've produced myself too.
I just find the "oh yeah? well it sounds great live!"- point rather moot.
disclaimer - no, I'm not actually commenting on the actual track, just the recurring posts about it. |

I have to disagree... when i'm out and about it won't change how much i like/dislike a track or my reaction when hearing that track... if i think it's a track i'm more likely to sigh when hearing it played out... |

Hmm...
I've adored A&Bs productions and remixes for years (Razorfish and the Madonna 'What it feels..' mix stand out in my mind, but i even have Anjunabeats - Anjunabeats vol.1 the first single on white and most of the back cat) but... this is just not my bag at all.
I enjoy tracks with vocals, male or female, and i can hear their usual production skills in this... but to an average radio listener, you could substitute the name 'A&B' on this for 'DJ Sammy - Alone Tonight' and they wouldnt guess.
I know they are probably trying to broaden their appeal and climb the DJ mag chart etc etc... but as a long time Anjuna fan I'm in two minds about this. I just hope the tri-state album rocks my boat more.
I heard the aweful 'live' version from GKGG last year when i was there, and i looked at my friends reactions...and that wasnt just due to the vocal performance that they were laughing. No one i know closely says they like this track, and again, alot of them have solid Anjuna collections sitting at home and adored their essential mix etc etc.
I think Anjunadeep is doing amazing with the diversity of tracks they are signing, so thumbs way up their, loving every release so far. But just don't alienate all your original fans A&B, please. The Dekay Dub is the best of a bunch of very average mixes imo. Thats me done.

i think its one of the biggest tracks of the year...will feature in 'my' best tracks ever made, and the vocals are good...

I agree completely.. for this A&B track in particular...apart from this I love A&B tracks and think they are EXTREMELY great producers.
