Seattle is U.S. suicide capitol: True or False?

Almost everyone I meet eagerly tells me that Seattle is the suicide capital whenever I tell them I'm from there. I get told this so much that it seems like common knowledge. But when I ask for resources, my responses are something like, "my friend," or, "some news show I think." So noone knows.
It's been driving me crazy and I'm determined to debunk what I think is a myth. But I can't find stats on city-ranked suicides anywhere. The best I found was: www.suicidology.org which shows Washington state being #17 in suicide in the US. But that still doesn't mean Seattle is or isn't the suicide capital.
So to you tranceaddicts, can anyone find a reputable website that shows Seattle is #1 or not #1 as suicide capital in the US? I'd like to know so that I can either bitch-slap everyone who tells me it's #1, or hang my head in shame and say "I know, that's why I left."

Closest thing I found was this map:

Granted that map is the number of suicides per number of homicides which only says that in those areas people get killed a lot and kill themselves a lot. However, even if it isnt perfect you would think that Seattle would be a little darker than what it is. By that map, it looks like the Las Vegas area is the worse. |

I live here, and I don't hear many stories about suicides. However, when my HS band went to New York to play in the Macy's parade a few years back, they saw a bunch of people jumping off of buildings.

Hey, I've lived here all my life and even I can't handle it. Seriously, THAT many months of weather is more than enough.
