hey guys.
my girlfriend let me borrow her copy of jose gonzalez - veneer album.
i love 'hints' so decided to do a little play around chilldown mix. reminds me of some kopi stuff, but not as clean:) hope ya like kopi:)
complete with vocals!
cutting the acoustic guitar playing was hell cos its all played by hand and needed correcting to work with my sequenced percs etc..
im quite happy with it. not polished but ive spent about 3 hours on it.
256KBPS HERE!

I like the vibe of the pads but I would check out the reverb reflection, it's a bit to loud though, imo :), guitar, piano, pretty deep melodie, the power kicks works very cool, I would work using a second power hit like a power snare with tons of reverb to have more presence and a tambourine with delay at parts like tatata ta ta ta taa taa.
In overall, very good stuff, the vibe is great, very sad, deep, great job dude.
A 8.5 in my kopimeter ;).

the original is by the guy who does the sony 'bravia' tv advert. with all the coloured bouncy balls.
the guitar and vocals i used from the orig. everythin else is my own..

i wrote and played the piano track myself. was a bit of an improvisation and it turned out to fit...

hey rich,really nice chilled track here - love the piano & the haunting vocals...its the kind of song i'd like to hear on my headphones walking about :) ...really nice subtle percussion & guitar sounds in the background...bit of a change from your usual style - good work!
