So i think I have seen he is booked for one maybe two events during WMC. Ambs, could ya ask Markus how much he would do an intimate event (maybe 100 capacity) for just TAs. Its looking like thursday the 23rd would be a good day for it. It would be a great place for the following to occur:
1. Get to hear an up close and personal set from the man himself.
2. An extremely good TA meetup and chance for fellow TAs to get together
3. A good time for TAs to showcase their skills when Markus isnt playing. Try to have one local from most TA regions.
I am just wondering if this could be done for a minimal ammount of money (maybe $500) on the basis that entry would be free and what not. I am willing to take place in all of the setup, venue securement, sound, equipment, and payment to him. I would basically setup a fund to take donations towards paying him (who knows we could get alot more than $500, i just want a show of hands to see who would be willing). I think with the proper planning, that something like this is possible and could go down as a good night in TA history. |

| Last year i know someone who was able to secure a place that held 100 people fairly cheap. Dont worry, i am all over location. I am not talking about renting a full on venue. I am talking about renting a small place for a night. But first I want to see a good show of hands before I take this to the next step...... |

I love this Idea!!!
Getting a venue for this is key.. But keep in mind that this is WMC. Partys have been booked for months all ready so finding a venue and a venue for cheep will be hard imo. If someone knows owners or has connetctions to venues use them.
Now someone should also email Markus and Heather with the plan and ses if he can or is willing to do it. Keep in mind if there is a set involved you will also have to Ask David Lewis His Manager.
How is this event going to be run? Will it be a Privte party where only TA's are invited?? Or will it be announced and other people can buy tickets on-line.
This event is going to take a lot of work but it can be done.. if we act on it now. Last May I planed and Orginized a LaTA/SdTA meet-up with Armin and Markus. I was so amazing and to see them walk into the resturant to meet over 50 TA's was so worth the effort.

Heres whats up so far, I have no venue locked down but it wont be too hard to lock something down letting them know that they will be selling alot more alcohol than they normally would. My problem is, i am far away and i will have to drive down there to finalize it pre-wmc. It will be TA invite only. All invites will be PMed to you and need to be printed out, these invites will be personalized as per your TA alias.
Also, I spoke with Chris (manager for second sun) and he told me so long as nothing gets booked on the 23rd that they would be more than willing to hang out for a little while completely free of charge. Of course i will give them some sort of bar tab. He also commented that they love TAs :) Always a good thing to hear from such a set of producers.
There are a few more things up my sleves but before I invest much more into this, I need feedback and lots of it. So people from other local communties PLEASE PLEASE post a link to this thread in your local wmc thread (most sub forums have one or two). I need votes and written responce.
Also the original idea is to have Markus so someone send him the good word to this thread. I am willing to fill out a contract, give deposite and agree to standard terms of a rider. |

| This seems like a good idea and hopefully it does work out, I know Markus is back in Miami, for how long I am not sure of, but when I speak with him I will let him know about this :gsmile: |
