Hey TOTA's :D

I figured a lot of you are going on a road trip.. And a few of Detroit TA's post here too.

I may have the opportunity to go to this event.. Seeing as that week I will only be 1.5 hours away from Detroit (still in Canada tho). I'm hoping some of you can answer a couple of questions that I have...

* Is this place (State Theatre) easy to get to/from (in terms of driving/parking)
* What is the attitude like at these sort of events in Detroit? Anything like T.? (Never really been to US clubbage)
* How late is the border open? I would absolutely have to leave by 6AM Friday morning to make it for another 5 hours of work in Canada, before I head back to T at around 3PM on Friday(!)
* I'm assuming gas/food cost is comparable to Canada (more or less)?

Finally, more rhethorically, how the hell am I supposed to do it, if 1.5 days later I'll for sure be seeing PVD in NYC :D

Thank you for the responses :)

I can answer your questions relatively vaguely...

1) the state is hella easy to get too from the tunnel.. its @ 2115 Woodward which is pretty much one of the main roads going thru detroit and the state is right across the street from the baseball staduim.. as for parking.. most ppl down know this but you can actully park in the baseball stadium parking lot for most of the State's events.. there will be someone at the gate just go in and ask if you can park there that night for the State event... most of the time you can and its usually free

2) As for the attitude.. i can tell you its no where near the same... its mainly full of Ginos and Ginas but there are handful of actual trance listeners in there you can spot and they even have a darker area behind some speakers where ppl go to stick and even flag

3) to my knowlegde the border is always open.. lots of ppl commute from the states here to work and go to school ( and vica versa) so i'm pretty sure its alwyas open...

4) Gas prices tend to be less in the states.. not by much but with the highness of the price lately it makes a big difference ($20 american can usually get you about 3/4 of a tank for a regular sized car) as for food.....just eat in canada unless you are going to an actual sit down resturant.. i find the fast food in the states to be lacking in good taste

as for your 5th question... i have no idea man... a couple of my friends are doing it... so it must be possible

good luck to ya
