So he has other people pre-make his ableton edits? Well, that's how I understand it, and that's actually lame.

Yes and no. He has all the tracks that are sent to him chopped into loops, or track segments. So say he has Trentemoller - Beta Boy, its chopped up into intro1, intro2, break1, middle, break2, outro1, outro2.

But if you were getting 100+ new tracks a week, help with sorting them out is needed. Because Sasha needs to listen to all those tracks, (or at least the ones he likes) to get to know them and think about ways to mix them, and being the lazy man he is, having to do all the editing would be too much work. Besides its not like the guiys doing it for him aren't getting paid.

I pay my little brother to warp my ableton tracks...lol and when he s up I demand 5$ back. :haha:

And this is why he is so ing boring. He obviously feels he needs to be playing a completely different set every weekend. Thats nice. But how much time does that give him to really listen to the song and figure out how to place it in a set? Id rather hear a dj have a similar set to the last one I heard because it was full of great tunes and mixed well for the club to dance to. Not this, I gotta hammer out all the new as soon as I get it kind of attitude. Half of what Sasha plays is so boring.... ugh /rant.

You should've just posted the link, rather than the entire interview. It takes away viewers from the site, and if the site is supported by advertising then they will lose money.

LoL are you retarded? He doesnt just play those 100 new tracks he gets each week. He takes whats best from those 100 and incorporates it into the rest of his music. Some tunes stick around in his playlist more than others, but he changes it up alot, while at the same time being profficient enough that he can pull off very clean mixes. It doesnt take that long to get to know a track if you have good memory.

YOU may think its boring, but alot of people do not. I find what Armin plays boring as because 85% of the time it all sounds exactly the same. It would take me about 5 minutes to familiarise myself with those tracks. They're so predictable.

I'd rather have a DJ take me somewhere I havn't been before, with good mixing just the same, and Sasha is very good at this.

This is all IMO of course.
