Raving injuries

I was throwing my hands up in the air so much and so hard during Mark EG's amazing set on saturday that I pulled the muscules underneath both my arms lol. It even hurts when I put my dishes in the cupboard lol.

On the plus side, I went to the party with an injured knee but I danced on it anyways and by the end of the night my knee was perfectly fine!!! Some kind of raving miracle:eyes: Who says partying is all bad for your health:)

Anyone else experience similar injuries or cures even after a night out???

Oh yea.

After Madd Bar last spring, I gave myself a shin splint, that I lived/danced w/ for over 6 months.

Then at the TOTA Cottage Party, I gave myself a shin splint in the OTHER LEG TOO from all the dancing I did that weekend for 3 days (much of which in my barefeet)! :(

I have since gone to the chiropractor and had both fixed back in the fall. THANK GOD.

The pain was unbearable when you'd try to dance.

I had (still have have) heel spurs, but they're not from dancing, though that aggravates them... it's an issue I've had since high school that I was until recently unaware I could treat.

I also have orthotics now. THANK GOD. SUCH A DIFFERENCE. (Good call, Sarah. Should have listened to you sooner ;))

I am moving slow as a grandma due to both calf muscles feeling like stone from this weekend (dancing 10pm-5am both nights). And my shoulders are sore from a particularily energetic dance with lights or two. :(

I need to hit the gym just to keep up with people in Toronto! lol

I thought there already was a thread like this one...?

Bah, can't be bothered to search.

I've thrown a shoulder at Amnesia (old work-out injury) in the summer of 2005..

Then in the fall of 2005 at Republik, while raving to Thrillseekers, doing the fist-pumping, I've done it again.. Robben saw it, he was laughing for a while, that's for sure. That's b/c I immediately switched from fist-pumping with the right hand to my left :D

Would one not have to be at a rave to sustain a raving injury?

We used to judge a concert back in the day by how many bruises we came home with from the mosh pit (when Pearl Jam were nobodys).

At BeB last year, Benassi injured people's taste in good music.
