in europe anyway, the only difference is color.

also im curious, what is your reason for disliking the mk5s? theyre the same as the mkIIs except theres no click at 0 and theres a pitch reset

Just like on my MK3D's :D I went for them on purpose so i wouldn't have the ole click. . .

If i were buying now, i'd probably go for the same ones as, well they're tiny bit harder to find. I think...

The MK5s are a joke? Howso since they're basically an MKII with the center click removed.

The difference between a 1200 and a 1210 is that 1210s can be plugged into european or american outlets. 1200s only operate at 110v.

I think zild is right, it has a switch and you can use it with 220 plug and 110 plug . pretty neat

Nope. I got 1200's in Oz and we're 240V here. The only difference is that 1210's are black as far as I know.

Strange because all 1210s I've seen are dual voltage and all the 1200s I've seen are single voltage. I know 1210s are black but I own a black 1200mkIII.

hmmm intresting... cause this all confusing me cause i had spun on both and me and my boys did like a spin test and they were both brand new... hmmm idk is weird... but yes i have to talk about the MK5's no offense to anybody but those tables are just plain out crap and its one of those things that came out just to make more money... its like when microsoft came out with Me & Millenium those were the most crappiest operating systems i have ever messed with... those turntables could not keep of beat worth and my boy bought those brand new and he took them back cause it was soo ty... haha but its all good... but damn idk about them being the same but then again i would love to test them out for sure again...

i think "hitman" means the M5Gs.

technics got my money for them. but i knew what i was getting myself into.

i only needed to switch the pitch adjustment once, and I was pitching down.

the blue LEDs was something i was going to change anyway, and if you change them on your own it costs almost as much as buying them AND you lose your warranty.

but that black glossy finish is hawt. and i am a fancy man with money to throw away. :stongue:

i guess i was wrong then. you are talking about the mk5s.

they are the same thing with the same electronics as the mkII, except the lock at zero.

you and the boys(z) may want to rethink a few things if you think you noticed a big difference.
Trogdor
Clearly Hitman has no idea what he's talking about. MK5s have an improved tonearm for more skip resistance, a more accessible brake adjustment, sunken power switch, and eliminated the 0-click (some of these improvements were first done in the M3D). Yeah, that sucks. Especially since it has the same motor and construction as the MK2. WTF are you talking about?
