Even if Creative or Sandisk were doing much better on sales than the Ipod....I would never hear the end of it :eek: |

On the contrary, many of us CAN afford it.
I prefer not to because I already have a CD player in my car and I end up spending more time in that location than anywhere else.
Either way, it's a trendwhore item. Not only are there are better devices on the market but there are better quality headphones to purchase, as well. Why do you think most of the users of the iPod keep those white buds? More often than not your answer lies in the fact that it's trendy.
On a whole other note: "afforded" does not have the same meaning as "afford it", which was probably what you were trying to say. |

| i have the ipod 5th generation, i mean dont get me wrong i love it and i love listenin to music on there and what not but really the video thing is sort of a waste.... the batter runs out very fast and i guess we can see why ipod is such a commercial product because people buy into this trend thing, the reason i bought it is because i wanted to try something different but yea i would suggest any other video/music players out there because i've seen better ones. |

no hes right kyle im hatin cause i can t afford said to say but true... im too busy spending my scraps of change i find under couches on other things...:rolleyes:
however i would like to add that i was offered a shuffle as a gift but still turned it down an kyle ur right it is very trendy imo everyone n there mama has one i like my cdplayer always was an will be my loyal friend so what if shes bulky big deeeeeal bottem line is i can still take the cds out an put em in a stereo or car stereo anytime so what if the ipod can play gigs an gigs of music make a dat file on a cd an ur good to go but the real question is do u really need that much music to go somewhere? i think ppl have it as a just to have an say they have one but then again its my opinion (sides the headphones suck ass anyway;)) |

While a newer generation iPod (4th or 5th) might be out of your financial grasp, I'm fairly sure that if you went to purchase a 2nd or 3rd generation iPod, you'd see that it'd be quite in your price range. ;) |

i'm not so sure with the battery life on some of the older ones if they would be a worth while investment. |

my roommate works for them too, and i hear all the horror storties from time to time, but then again every company will have a bad product or 2 from time to time.........when you stamp out a couple million ipods you are bound to have a few bad ones ;) |
