I just upped the album art (both the front and back cover)
The pictures that I used for the album art was taken by me with my digital camera.

I’m surprised that no one else has left comment on this set of mixes….
Granted, there’s a lot of shameless “bumping” in the thread – but the mixes, to me, are solid – and very enjoyable…
They’ve earned themselves playtime in my car – which is the highest honor I give to mixes that I find here!!!!
I rarely post – but thought these mixes were worthy of some praise, where they seem to have gotten none. Is there something I’m missing? I have no DJ-ing skills whatsoever – I represent the connoisseur that has few friends that actually listen to trance – or any other kind of EDM music for that matter. A headphone and car listener I am – and these mixes are great in my book.
Thanks for the high bit-rate mixes – They sound great in the MDR-V900’s, and on the Kenwood system…

Wow! Thank you so much for posting! I really appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. I'm sorry about the shameless bumping, but for the amount of time I spent on this project, I wanted at least SOME feedback... and it looks like I finally got it! Thank you! I'm glad that you like this project so much and that you listen to them so often. It is people like you that make it worth putting 50 hours into a project like this (which I did do for this project). Thanks so much again for your post! Long live trance! :D |

Still enjoying the heck out of these mixes!!!
I've seen a ratings system that some of the DJ's here use to evaluate others' mixes...
I think there ought to be a "Likely to attract new listeners" factor that is judged as well. I think these mixes would score high in that arena...

Very good mixes, I like Dawn better because in my opinion the track selection is better. Only track I didn't really like was:
Drax & Scott Mac -Must Have Been A Dream (Original Vocal Mix)
. . a bit cheese for me.
But you did really well with some of the best tracks from last year. While I have heard many of these tracks more than a few times I still enjoyed the mixes very much. I agree with TearsInTheRain that this mix is very good for new listeners of trance and progressive trance. You've taken the popular songs from last year and sort of made your own dance compilation, I can appreciate that. Good work.
I do think that while I like Dawn better, they are both very good, but they both seem to sort of fizzle out in energy. Kinda get more chill and euphoric. It actually works well if that's what you wanted to do but for me, I like sets like these to build to more of an energetic climax.
Anyway, really outstanding effort. Thanks for the great mixes. :cool:

Thank you so much for your thorough comments! I'm glad you enjoyed Dawn so much.
You have brought up a couple of great points in your post.
I did work on this project with people in mind who aren't
that familiar with trance. One of my major goals as a DJ
and producer is to get people interested in trance who
weren't that interested before. This is one of the reasons
why I like to stick to a chilled-out relaxing feel to a set.
If I'm spinning in a club, thats completely different. I would
play something much more energizing with a nice buildup to a climax.
