What do you use?
I tried Flashsaver, but it only works if the URL points directly to the SWF file.
Looking at the Media tab of Firefox's Page Info window only works half the time...
I'm looking for an app that might show a save option on the right-click context menu.
Whatcha got? Whatcha got? |

Half the places out there don't have either, they're streamed from another content provider and as such don't even have a direct link to the file there. |

| View the source, find the location of the SWF and then use get on a unix box. |

k guys, i know all the obvious solutions. viewing the source sometimes shows a playlist or custom player, and a unix box def wouldn't be convenient.
i know there are apps that when you right click on the movie, it gives you an option to save it.
and no, it's not for porn, just cool embedded flash vids, and some classic windows media vids when the good links come my way. some of that is so good that i want to save it, knowimsayin? |

only surefire way is to hack the source yourself to determine location of the file...
be careful with those "right-click, save as..." apps, many have spyware. |

yeah, i research any app before i try it out, and i know there are some good ones out there, i'm just looking for experiences. i'm surprised no one has any.
p.s. try out Filetargets - you guys will love this one
the fontexplorerlite on that page is nice as well. |

I wrote this ff extension a while ago to allow you to save URLs directly (emulates the "Save Link As")
https://addons.mozilla.org/extensio...ication=firefox
Although it doesn't have the context option for embedded flash/media files (Maybe next version ;)), it saves a lot of time. |

| are there any apps out there that will extract audio from a swf file into an mp3 or something? like, extract it from swf, or recompile it, or whatever...? |
