So OMG, it finally happened!
After reading thousands of your negative posts in TA, how you attacked every producer posting here like Airwave, Niklas, Markus, S.Nino, Dresden - and a hell more - cause they produce "mcprog", trance, and a BIG etc.. I opened this thread waiting THE MOST AMAZING TUNE ever, THE GLORY OF MUSIC! Cause come on, if this guy likes a track it has to be the most special experience of your life!

Could you tell me what makes this track so special against, for example, A Boy Called Joni - Green Astronauts? (last track that i have seen you bashing). What makes this track "stand out"?Cause the track is not bad, but not near good! And has nothing but the typical psy sounds on it that you can listen in a lot fo other tracks! This is not ?

I really like that tune.
also, + 0.5 to what you just said. the only reason you dont get a full +1 is because i quite like this track :toothless , and also i can accept that ALOT of the music that gets bashed here is indeed not very good.. having said that alot of the music that gets bashed is very good imo.. like green astronauts... |

First of all; you don't know me and you don't know anything about my taste. Second; I've been listening to trance much longer than most of the people here. I was introduced to trance before the 99-era.
My record collection includes trance from various styles. Though I must say that the majority of my records are uplifting trance.
I can honestly say that the never before during all those years of listening to trance have so much crap and boring stuff been produced as now. That's propably why you see me bash every other tune. It's not because I feel hatred towards producers or the music. No it's because I like the music and wish that more producers could stick away from a certain formula which is whored to death (mcprog for instance).
It's funny to see that some people see my critique as a threat. It's never meant as that. It's because I know there are many producers who are very talented but it sadens me to see that they use their talent to produce half average tunes just to qualify into ASOT when they could have produced something memorable.
Because honestly; how many of the so called mcprog tunes will people remember in 5 years?
I didn't say that the tune in this thread was the best tune I've heard. Far from. Still I could easily say that it's better than alot of the stuff posted in the CD-reviews sections. Though tunes like this don't get much recognition because Armin, Schulz and Tiesto doesnt whore them in their sets.
And I also doubt that you heard any psytrance at all since this is not even the normal psytrance you would expect. Those who are into psytrance know what I'm talking about. |
