That pisses me off. I'm PRAYING that at least Tiesto will find the strength to perform at Ultra even though he has a 7 hour set the next night at Mansion. Can someone answer me this... WHY THE ARE "THE KILLERS" GOING TO BE AT ULTRA!!!!? Ok anyway. I drive down to Miami (from Tampa) every year just for Ultra and I must say I am very disapointed with the Line-Up this year. Thankfully my favorite group ever will be there again (Infected Mushroom). I'm hoping they will get Christopher Lawrence again. They really need to call up some TRANCE acts (that are well known) like:
Nu-NRG
Above & Beyond
M.I.K.E. (Push)
Matt Darey
And some powerhouse DJ's like:
Marcel Woods
Marco V
Why not some Psy-Trance acts?????
Talamasca
Astrix
Hallucinogen
Astral Projection
Yahel
, at this point I would take DJ's like

| Wow dan, i agree with everything. Even your choice of artists. IM is my favorite, psy and trance are the best, and if only they could bring in someone. I understand that mamy dont know who they are, and for mainstage it would be tough, but doesnt trance energy always fill up, and events such as that for trance? Even tiesto for gods sake, bring him in please. There are some big name tranceheads like ATB and Blank and Jones that could fill up a mainstage name and are touring. Dont dissapoint ULTRA...there is still time |

Marcel Woods is Tech-Trance ... and although he might never make it to spin at an Ultra, he did Spin last years Black Hole Recordings [ still praying for that night to happen this wmc ] and if u missed out.. then.. u MISSED OUT!

| Look man, we all agree they could use more trance. Even haters admitted to it, comparing it less than last year for trance. Ultra sold out last year because mainstage was insanse (trance). We could use one more big name like G&D, blank and jones, Above and Beyong, or psy acts like Yahel, Astral Projection. They have all sold out in clubs around the world. |

ME.. I.. PERSONALLY... wouldn't want to go cuz i'm 21.... went to my first Ultra when i was 16....... and its nothing like how it USED to be.
you wanna go see them spin 1 hour vs on their own night spinning up to 6 hours.. then go ahead.
and oh yeah.. out of the list u named..... PVD is the only one worth catching :rolleyes:
so in the end.. not very fuking entertaining IMO :D |

| See and the thing is before you respond to her comment, i am 18, so i AM going to Ultra from Cali, sucks cause i bought my ticket hoping it would be like last year, but OOPs, i ed up. Didnt expect it to suck this much. I cant go to the 21 and over clubs so i got shafted, so i believe i have the right to HATE! |

| Regardless. Ultra will SELL OUT with Prodigy.. just that. That alone will atract more peeps then Tiesto. If you add Tiesto to the bill its massive. Any even can sell out with the right names, and Ultra already filled the gap with the SOLD OUT concept already. They will.. what they are lacking its the Trance DJ's. I was hoping for that.. Christopher Lawrence I would love to see.. why so much D&B and Breaks jeez. Oh well.. I love festivals, the vibe its awesome so Im still looking forward to it. |

| The thing is last year, all headline mainstage acts were sell out dj's. So why just have a few this year? They went 100 percent massive last year, why not this year with main stage? Prodigy, PVD, and IM... thats it for huge crowds. I dont think tiesto will top it off, he will bring the ones that wont show to come, hopefully making it sell out |

I have decided that I am going to drive down twice to Miami; once for Global Gathering & once for Ultra Music Festival. I'll be spending about $330 just to be able to go to Miami twice and stay for one night but I don't have a choice, I WANT to see those DJ's.
On a positive note about the lack of appealing trance DJ's at Ultra (for me) is. Every year I go and see the same DJ's never making it to see other DJ's who I've never seen and have always wondered how they are. Now since there aren't a lot of my favorites there this year I can make the effort to go see the DJ's I have always wanted to see but never do. So it works out. |

I like Zombie and love NIN...
They all have EDM elements in their music, but they are still Electro Rock.
But let's be honest, in the past, Ultra has been all about an Epic EDM experience. Now they can't say that. It is clear that the 2 events just spread the talent around...gawd if only they would have COMBINED forces to give us:
Sasha & Digweed
Armin VB
Corsten
PVD
Junkie
Deep Dish
Sander
Tiesto
Oakenfold
all on one stage! It would easily be the best event in the world...
If I lived in Miami I would go to one event or the other. But, I just can't justify traveling for it. I really do hate saying that...I feel like I am wussing out |
