Oh yeah, I used to quite like that. Not so fond now. It sounds a bit tacky the way that white noise effect rises, then stops when the sample end and begins again. :D

Nothing beats Jay Z - Anything lol

A music artist ripped off another music artists sounds....amazing.

Cover of a cover. They wont stop playing it in Chicago.

Samplimg is one thing, when its obvious theyve sampled a tune by using the original chorus or similar...

What's worse is when they try and pass it off as an original

See:

Akon - Bananza (Belly Dancer)(2005) Lyrics:

Chorus:

Hey ladies drop it down
Just want to see you touch the ground

Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth (1966) Lyrics:

Chorus:

It's time we stop, hey, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down
Mr.Mystery
I think that's more of a homage to the original track since I don't really think anyone wouldn't know the original.

Considering the original is about the Vietnam war and the new one is about thick women and parties - I wouldn't call it a homage. That is if your comment is referring to my post.

Oh and the original was a pretty massive hit of the times, still used a lot today in movies and television... Whenever there aare hippies fighting the cause..:p

Is it just appearing once or does it happen more?

I don't know quite what you mean, but if you are referring to the belly dancer track, it would be nothing without this hook. It's repeated a million times in the song.
