Thanks to everyone who was at the Aria. It was a pleasure to open for Markus again. What a gentlemen...... The vibe was awesome on the dance floor... I was happy to see all of you TA's again, really appreciate for your support :) I'm happy to see that people like the kind of music I play. I also thanks the Aria to believe in me to open a night like that.

Everyone like a specific kind of music to dance - trip - chill..... but it's true that the Electro and House is taking a lot of place in Montreal. But we can't say that the trance or even techno is dead around the world. It's normal to see djs playing others kind of music different then their own style. To be versatile is a great dj quality. Also, the music perception is different between country or club. For example, choose any international djs and download all live set that you can find on him, you will see how the style or tracklisting is changing in comparision of the country, club, party he played....

Btw, PVD rockkkkkkk ;) lolll hehe

nicely said.I hate when people assume i hate Trance just because i wont go to a Trance event. It is a personal preference in partying that is all.Keep up the good work on house Pacifique.

wow what a weekend. from waking up friday morning thinking that we weren't going to make it to schulz to extending our stay a few days longer...cRaZy...

i enjoyed nick pilon's set much more than schulz's...great job man! you tired out the crowd before schulz could get to us!!! :) but markus was still alright, good track selection (great to hear Dogzilla - Without You, G&D - Tracking Treasure Down), but i like my stuff a little harder. kal was cool, don't remember too too much.

met a TON of TA's, you guys are awesome. great to see brendan, jesse, val, lopi, ninja (thanks for your help with the buses! easy my ass ;))...and it was a pleasure to meet louis, nick pilon (although i butcher the pronounciation of your last name), juan, nick, dan, sean mp (thank you again for your ride offer, us burl ta's gotta stick together!) shara, erika (awesome breakfast...YUM), julius (pleasure to listen to you spin), and i'm sooo sooo sorry if i forgot you.

and a HUGE thank you to Shara (many more trips to come) and Julius for your hospitality...it's GREATLY GREATLY appreciated :)

and wtf hakim!! :whip: ;)

and please disregard my above posts...i took advantage of the legal drinking :p

hopefully i'll be back up in march, if not see you all for Bal en Blanc!!! :)

I got to the club around 2:30, Nick was going nuts on the screen and making the trance crowd jump up and down and grab the air for support..Nick's trance brought me back 3 years ago when I used to be heavy into it and went to see DJs like Harwick, Jules, etc. Great stuff, it's just not my prefered music right now and I couldn't get into it so much...so I sat it out or just walked around..

When I saw Azia came up for a surprise, it was priceless. What a trooper she is, always ready and willing to party. I love it! Can't wait to see and party with you again. Get the papers this time :haha:

Schulz was nuts. From the moment he got on, I realized it wasn't going to be a trance night. The guy played mostly progressive tracks with some trance elements thrown in for the mix. Do What U DO?!!?! I mean, really.
I also LOVE the song he put near the end:
"Can't You See Me Watching....Someone Else!" :eyes:

Overall: Schulz was great and I was glad I saw him, but I wasn't blown away. Kal on the other hand, impresses me more and more every time I see him. He started a bit slow but he brought it up and kept it pumping until he spun Trentemoller - Beta Boy = HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT!

Getting to the afterparty was such a bitch that I don't even want to type it all up and get reminded of it all.. Suffice it to say that I got to Piett's house finally at around 4:00 in the afternoon where Caela, Aureus, ninja, Lopi, Tag, Azia and Juan were sitting around and chillin' listenign to some mellow beats from Piett. I was soooo happy to get to chill with the Vermonters...
Courtney and Jay, you guys are ING AWESOME, very happy to have chilled with you. Jay and me meet on an industrial dark level and Courtney's reactions to Picotto's Gatecrasher 2002 were PRICELESS...you guys need to move to Montreal immediately, I hope it all works out for you and we get to party with you guys more often in the months to come..

Piett thank you again for hosting an awesome afterparty. Again, it was supposed to be 20 people or something and it ended up with 5..don't worry, the more we go, the bigger it will become.. MUAHAHA! And the mellow beats turned into 2 hours of Synth madness near the end..it was excellent. Also the sets we heard the next day are N NUTS: carl cox @ Kamera, Unknown when and where, Diggers, Skinner or something....wow. :eyespop:

OVERALL: Not the best time at Aria, great time at the Afterparty, glad to have met new TAs (C + J), sad I didn't get to meet more (Oneeleven, all-night)...Wasn's supposed to go out at all but I ended up going. Seriously, I have to relax with the partying..:nervous:

OK, where to begin...

Friday night we met Azia after our other ride bailed, and after some pre-weekend partying we made the trip to MTL. She definitely hooked us up hard (thank you so much!) with the ride up, and with not having to wait an hour out in the frigid cold :tongue2
We got inside, and Nick Pilon was already tearing the place up. You are amazing bro! I was expecting to hear some decent tunes and what I got instead was dancefloor-killer one after the other... Although I can't ID any of the tracks you spun, I was definitely pleasantly surprised. During this time is when most of my dancing for the night was accomplished.
When Schulz came on I was really psyched (after hearing his better GDJB's)... He spun alot harder than usual and I even found myself rocking out to "Tracking Treasure Down" which normally is a track that (Caela will vouch for this) I despise. About halfway through his set he dropped the Open Your Eyes Remix Dub, but only for a minute or two. I really thought he was saving the vocal mix for the end, which would've sealed the night for me, but he never did. Played a bunch of songs I haven't heard, and wasn't really impressed with the rest of his set. Then Kal came on, and I found myself getting tired, although he started out his set really nicely, by about 10 or 10:30 the bpm had dropped considerably, to the point where dancing became a chore and I stuck to the sidelines. I guess that about wraps it up show-wise.
Met a LOT of TA's this weekend, all of who are incredibly chill, great people. I've never met so many in one weekend, and the more Canadians I meet the more I can't stand Americans (ha!). Along with Azia (Shara), who kindly shared her transportation with us, it was finally meeting Stereohead (gotta love that hard prog, plus you cook a mean breakfast!), Mitsu (you were on the dancefloor all night man, props! and +1000 for industrial tech-house and chipping in on pizza!), Piett (you rock a fkng afterparty bro, thank you so much for the ableton lessons!), Light78 (were you at ARIA?), Louis (you looked really irritated Fri. night, plus i was pretty incomprehensible, we'll have to have a proper introduction [i.e. me sober]), Ninja (without you i'm sure we would still be lost in MTL right now), and anyone I missed! (?) Nice to see Tag, Jesse, and Val again, and Lopi at the afterparty. Have yet to meet all-night and HAKISAK but am looking forward to it. Overall I had a lot of fun this weekend!!!! Thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!!

edit: can't forget SeanMP + friend (how was your night?) and non-TA-Juan (i don't think i've ever gone through so many joints in a row!!!)
