Clubs in Prague

Im going to Prague next week, and i want some tips on what clubs to go to? (or generally cool stuff to do)
I like Trance and/or house/club house.
Any ideas? |

Was there with some mates on NYE. We got to see Karlovy Lazne (whatever you spell this 5 stories club) Duplex and Roxy.
Duplex was pretty commercial housy on that night, with too many toursits (espcially disgusting Italians)..overall nothing special, but might depend on who's playing there.
Roxy was a more undergorund club with primarily Czech people (girls!) which I liked much more. Musically awesome (newest prog/electro tunes), good vibe but unfortunately a pretty weak soundsystem...at least on the night we were there.
At the end we ended up @ "Darling" though. LOL, you have three guesses as to what that "club" was about. A Disneyland for adults is perhaps the best description. Some surreal sex temple somewhere between "Titty Twister" and "Total Recall". |

| Yes, exactely like that. You had all kinds of freaks, like midgets, elderly fat ones, and then you had the most gorgeous women in all colors and shapes. It was hilarious. |

| Prague is full of Prostitutes, mainly skanky ones on the street offering you bum sex etc. Also most lapdance clubs are very nice but the drinks are very expensive, theres also a few migets haha |

^Yes indeed, if you walk on the streets at night in Prague, you are constantly being harrased by prostitutes or by guys from strip bars etc. And they really try everything to get you inside :D
I can recomend Roxy in the center of the ciy. Good music, lots of girls. But i think it's only open on monday? :conf:
Karlovy Lazne is nice to try out some time. It has multiple levels (5 or 6) and at each level they play a different style of music. But if there are not enough people inside, the top levels are closed. It's a nice club if there are enough party-people.
btw, Roxy is a former opera building and Karlovy is a former swimming pool :) |
