ok so i just went and jumped in my dad's truck to go get some breakfast. when i turned the truck on, a burnt cd of mine full of trance is playing. the track playing was Marco V- Tolerance, and it was playing pretty loudly. on top of that, i'm positive my dad was the last one in the truck. he usually listens to christian music or sports talk radio. i can't make any sense out of this one...

dude...welcome to the club

my MOM fool...my MOM sometime last week hopped in the bimmer and turns the car on. I'm rolling the window down to smoke a cigarette, and as soon as I do, I hear (in a very low volume), Love Theme Dusk! I'm like "uhhhh..........mom? Are you listening to this?" She freaks out about this track everytime I play it. She says it reminds her of her childhood:conf: :conf: :conf: :conf:

but yea man...u aint alone me friend;)

My parents are the same sometimes. When I first started into trance and they heard it in the car they started talking about how it reminded them of disco and then started to reminisce about their clubbing in ny (cuz we're all from NJ) before they got married...yeahhhh. I heard some things in that conversation I could have done without....

ummmm lol my parents heard my music for the first time and it actually turned a bit nasty. They claimed that the music I was listening to was only for "kids on drugs" and that I'm wasting my time and money buying music, equipment, and spending time learning to DJ.

I'm surprised my mom isnt more into my tunes... she was supposedly this big hippy.

i tried to play one of dave's cds for my mom, but she walked out of the room halfway through. i thought that was weird cause i did the same thing.

My dad's too old for the more peak time progressive, but he likes alot of the deeper melodic tracks, stuff off the coldharbor label and the ambient stuff like Thrillseekers - Escape.

The only family member that shares my interest in trance/progressive/electro music is my sister, and the funny thing is before 2000....we never agreed on anything or even remotely liked the same .
