Above & Beyond release ‘Tri-State’, their first artist album, in March and celebrate with an unmissable album launch party and Anjunabeats night at Canvas in London on Sat March 4th.

Room 1 will feature a 3 hour set from Above & Beyond, plus guest appearances from Anjuna legends Smith & Pledger, Super8 + DJ Tab and Dutch techmeister Stephen J. Kroos. Room 2 (Red Sessions) will feature the electronic house sound of rising stars and one of Steve Lawler's favourite producers Disciples of Sound & Kid Lopez, plus guests Manda Dex, Jamie Gittins, Scott Martin, and Trip-tronic.

As both producers and DJ’s, Above & Beyond need no real introduction to the dance community, but a little reminder never hurts! In the past 5 years, Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Paavo Siljamaki have become one of the world’s foremost credible dance acts; a group Radio 1's Pete Tong labelled as “the UK’s new trance superstars”, when they took the prized gong for ‘Essential Mix of the Year’. More recently they were nominated alongside The Chemical Brothers and Basement Jaxx for the coveted Best Dance Group category at the Miami Winter Music Awards.

The trio have remixed the likes of Madonna and Dido and their solo productions have captured the imagination of the clubbers and DJ’s alike, with anthems like ‘Far From in Love’ and ‘No One on Earth’ rocking dance floors worldwide. Meanwhile they’ve tasted chart success twice with the Oceanlab’s singles ‘Satellite’ (Top 20 in 2004) and ‘Clear Blue Water’.

Outside of the studio, Above & Beyond also A&R one of the world's most successful independent dance labels, Anjunabeats. The label has already hosted sell-out club nights at Turnmills in London and Passion in 2005 and has put together a line-up to savour for the March 4th event at Canvas, London.

Smith & Pledger are one of the UK's finest up and coming trance talents, responsible for tracks like 'Day One','Connected' and 'Northern Lights' which have become staples for the world's top DJ's such as Ferry Corsten and Armin van Buuren. Smith & Pledger's awesome remix of Luminary 'Amsterdam' is currently tearing up clubland and has been played 5 times on Radio 1. As DJ's Smith & Pledger have rocked dancefloors at venues such as Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Turnmills,

Miika Eloranta aka Super8 is the man behind the mighty 'Alba/Dawn' EP - a record which is still selling in droves 2 years after its release - and Aalto 'Rush', a track which prompted the world's number one DJ Paul Van Dyk to invite Miika to playat his legendary Casino night in Berlin. Made together with Finnish superstar DJ, DJ Tab, Super8's latest offering 'Helsinki Scorchin' already looks set to become one of the biggest trance records of 2006, with Tiesto, Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren playing the track in all their sets.

The event also sees UK debuts for Holland's Stephen J. Kroos. Stephen J. Kroos' techy-edged productions have found favour with Carl Cox and Eddie Halliwell among others, and is set to take you on an unforgettable journey.

Canvas is quite simply the venue to visit in 2006. Lovingly built on the site of the legendary Bagleys, Canvas is a truly inspiring experience for any 21st Century nightclubber. With crystal clear audio, next generation lighting and visuals this is everything a club space should be and much more."

If you honestly think any member from Above & Beyond has even a shred of DJing talent then you're even more of a moron than you come across. Last time I had the displeasure of seeing them they were beyond cringe worthy, with their constant mixing and trainwrecking. An utter disgrace to the scene.

Oh wait. They have a few big productions under their belt though, so they must be good DJ's. Scrap what I said.

What was written in this post that deserves the title of a moron? Perhaps it's because I happen to have different tastes to you? Or maybe it's you who's the moron pal

everyone's entitled to their own taste but that doesn't stop A&B being wank ;)
Tim Shady
I've enjoyed A&B the last couple of times I've seen them :)
