I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out to support the event on Saturday. It really turned out to be an amazing night, despite the rain and the sold out Sahsha and Zabs show @ Avalon. It just goes to show you that clubbing in L.A. actually IS growing, when the 2 biggest competing clubs in the city can both have successful nights. I love it.
The crowd at Spundae was great, and although the pouring rain and long lines made it so the night got a late start, once people started piling in, the party got started quick!
Carlos started the night off nice and funky, moved it into progressive and really started to get people on the floor. I got to play some of my favorite tunes of the moment so I was happy.
There was 3 videographers there, and a lot of people taking pictures, so I'll post links when I get them. I saw a short clip and it looked like everyone was truly having a good time.
The loft DJs did an excellent job, keeping it packed for a majority of the night. They were a great addition to the event and you can expect to see all of them at a Grooveriders in-store in the future.
Thanks most of all to Spundae, of course, for giving me the opportunity to be a part of of another amazing event.
Saturday night just got me even more amped for March 4th & 11th, I hope to see some of you there!! Both nights have major headliners that are rarely seen on the West Coast and are totally different genres, all within 2 weekends!

Got to Spundae alittle before 11:00 and couldn't find any parking! WTF!!!! :mad: After circling the club a couple of times, we decide to drive to the next block after Las Palmas. Found parking and prayed that it wouldn't start raining again, it was barely drizzling thank God!
By 11:00 there was already a big crowd inside and noticed Ms. Sky on the decks. OMG!!!! What a nice freakin set! It wasn't the Kristina that I'm used to but she definitely made my night! Woo Hoo Kristina!!!!
Marco V. was OK. I was expecting him to play like the last 2-3 times I saw him but that didn't happen. By the time Tall Paul came on, I was hoping for something, something like alittle kick in da @ss but that didn't happen either. I didn't check out the other DJs like as usually do so I have no comments.
I think what made my night fun was all the loonie peeps that I know. Seeing them get super silly and do some funny things like no one is watching! hahahaha..... Karenluvs2party knows what I'm talking about! :toothless
I still prefer being at SPUNDAE anytime and not having to deal with any sort of BS that comes along with going to Avalon. :stongue: |

I hear that, Avalon was insanely packed on Saturday and it was not fun to move around in there. If you want to have a lot of fun and dance, Spundae is the place. The only issue with Spundae is the sound is very subpar to all the other clubs in LA, at least in the main room.
The back room at Spundae sounds fantastic and the loft was super loud this weekend. If only we could some how get the main room pumping live Avalon, it would be the best place in LA. The funny thing is Spundae uses the same speakers as Avalon (EAW Avalon Series). Maybe they just need to turn it UP! |
