they can habituate to loud noise levels, but teh thing is, their hearing sucks, rats are good at smelling, thats about it.
plus this was posted in CORe, which I found the original article, its a bunch o crap, they didn't include a methods sections, so you really can't find out exactly wtf they did.
but I do love how this article terms it as, 'prolonged effects of mdma' and others say 'decreased brain activity with mdma'. :) |

wouldn't exposing a standard rat to a standard kick drum coming from your standard loudspeaker result in the rat being blasted across the room into the opposite wall? |
