We are talking about the black stereotype; I'm sure you know what it is. We have evidence that it is factual - what is your counter-arguement?

What's your idea of a black stereotype?

Read the earlier posts; I'm too tired to reiterate it. Actually I'm going to sleep, good night guys and gals. :D

I guess i was in middle school during the clinton years and had diversity shoved down my throat. as i grew older, i started encountering many more black people....especially working for the wisconsin medicaid program which gave me a candid glimpse into the ghettos of milwaukee. but honestly, i've met some very nice black people that i'm proud to call my friends.

i don't dislike people until they give me a reason to dislike them. sometimes this can happen in the few moments after i encounter sometimes.

everyone who you encounter comes from an environment that conditioned them to act a certain way. the ghettos don't have the same rules as other areas. the "ex-slavery" mentality is still dominant in black culture, and the parents don't teach their kids how to succeed in america because they either don't know how, they don't have the self-esteem, or they consider it "selling-out to the white man".

in any case, most of my personal interactions with black people turn out to be negative (yes, with an open mind) so it's just a natural tendancy to avoid things that give you displeasure. just today i was on the bus, and i heard someone talking much louder than he needed to using swear words left and right...guess who....i'm not sure if he knew if he was being rude, but nobody would ever have the guts to tell him that he was in fear of violent retribution. being harassed while minding your own business, walking down the street is a better example. some people aren't taught to consider other people, because it's a survival technique in the ghetto to only care about yourself (not saying that this is the case 100% of the time).

candy-coating your opinion due to political correctness is ignorant, but calling people n****etc is stupid and spiteful.

I don't ask anyone to respect anyone who physically threatens them.

All i'm saying is that the 6ft 3 guys in the cue, they could have, and it's more likely that they had been white guys, and you probably wouldn't have given it a second thought. Why should it have made a difference that they were black?

ehhhh.....living in the UK, you probably don't have the same "diversity problems" that we do in the US. if you lived around it, it would be very clear.

It made a difference because they both looked like people who's God is 50 Cent...Hip hop culture encourages the black stereotype, and these guys looked like a pure product of it.

Sure there's a whole lot of bad white people also....It's just that I have to say the majority of black people I encounter in my every day life reinforce the stereotypes. I don't hate all black people, just the ones that reinforce the stereotypes....and unforunately I'd say that's about 80% of the ones I see on a day to day basis.
