do you suggest that, my friend? I read a book called "Everything you wanted to know about sex...but were afraid to ask" and it had a chapter on abortions. With the coat hanger and everything, it was a story of a girl who had it done because she was too scared to tell her parents. You know what happened to her? She got an infection, had to have literally everything cut out of her, she can't never have babies again, she bleeds from time to time and is always in pain. Great way to go. Let's ban abortions, WOO HOO! |

I see your double negative and I'm going raise you by one.
I can't say that I wouldn't never suggest doing anything so ridiculous.
Anyway, my original point was that people will do it whether it's legal or not, and that they will simply make use of unconventional and/or unsafe practices in order to do it. |

The point is that if you take away the right to do it legally and more importantly SAFELY. You're risking so much more in the process. Especially when the major argument for it is religious and not scientific, though ofcourse there are scientific ways to prove that abortion is murder, at least in the later stages of the pregnancies. You know how people go to Canada to get Cuban cigars and ? Now, you'll just have people going else where to get abortions. You know what's also not so swell? Is the fact that you're going to be putting people out of work and all those abortion specialists and even technicians are going to provide underground services. I could see it now and it's not a good ing idea. |

yes you are! If you say no abortions you're forcing someone to have a baby. So how about...you baby sit, pay for diapers, change the diapers, stay up nights, feed the baby, burp the baby since you're so man enough to say that abortions are silly ;)
date of birth, eh? Is that why people also say "I've been around for X number of years" if you're "alive" during pregnancy then they'd be saying x number of years including the fetus stage. How do I know that? I don't know...perhaps because I go to a uni that majors in medicine and I know pre-med students who tell me that there are brain functions during those stages? btw my daughters name is Cameron. she's 9 yrs. old. she lives with her mother. i miss the diapers, the waking up at night, the crying, everything that involves a newborn even the smell. when i smell an infant i almost start crying.
yes date of birth. why it's called date of birth? because it is the day of your birth. the day you were born. who cares. if you want to make the argument that life begins three months after conception go right ahead but leave supporting argument, the legal term DoB, out of it. it makes you look stupid.
so this university that majors in medicine that has these pre-med students you know, does it teach reading comprehension?

While I personally am against abortion, I do support a womens right to choose. We would be going down a very dangerous & slippery slope if we take away rights that people already have. Unfortunately, legalized abortion is a necessity in a free & democratic society that respects women.
Banning abortions would only lead to more dangerous back alley procedures & more neglected & abused children in a foster care system that already can't handle the sheer numbers of children they already have. What sickens me far more than abortion, is mothers that give birth to children that are either abused & neglected by they themselves or their husbands or boyfriends, or give birth to children having no clue who the father is, or do drugs & alcohol during pregnancy. |
