Why is the Scion commercial on Online Trance channel gay?

If you have heard this Scion commercial on some online Trance Radio Stations.
Why is it gay? Are they only targetting gays? Or they assume that only gays listen to trance? |

face it, gays tend to be a bit higher up on the income ladder than most people. they love to travel. gay tourists spend more than the regular tourist. in the United States, the gay community has billions of dollars to spend, more than any other socio-economic group by percentage, other than the top 1% wealthy of the country. thats how they can live in such expensive cities like LA, New York, Miami, Chicago. |

Yeah, well TranceVanDyk isn't completely wrong.
Even with people like Bush in power, society is becoming increasingly accepting of new lifestyles. Some studies have shown gays males and females are coming out at much younger ages, the average being senior in high school right before college. With movies like Brokeback and TV shows like Will & Grace, its becoming easier for companies to find venues to market to this segment of people.
Not that this has ANYTHING to do with the Scion commercial that I have not heard. Though my guess would be its just a commercial targeting a particular group of people that DI happened to agree to air. No different than a sprite commercial targeting blacks or a Abercrumbie commercial targeting rich white kids. |

I asked purple if he's in the closet, or if he's homophobic.
I asked him if he thought the commercial was actually homosexual or just 'gay' in the "thats gay" sense which some kids use to descibe some things.
I also implied he uses the phrase '.... is gay' a lot.
