| Just wanted a few opinions guys; I'm a student on a tight budget as I'm saving up for a Virus! I've been knocking out bits for a while now using my Novation KS5 just through MIDI, but I haven't yet actually got an audio interface to record and process anything. I was thinking about maybe killing the mixer and audio interface problem with one stone by thinking about buying the Alesis Multimix 8.... But especially at a price that low I can't help thinking maybe it's a tacky gimmick that might shine through...! Just wanted some thoughts on whether you guys thought it was an adequate purchase for recording for tracks. Cheers all! |

| Its good, but buy the firewire one (software audio inputs for every channel). The usb one sucks, latency problems. The onboard FX are nothing to write home about, and the preamps arent the best available but its definately a good mixer for the money. Practically noiseless and you wont find another audio interface/mixer hybrid for this low. |
