| i know, i am a business major. However it makes no sense for the cluase to be put in effect. Did the city plan this one out with the two events, or did GG confront Ultra with a hefty load of cash to not take the artists since its the first year in the states. Ultra has no gain in the situation then, since clearly they can afford the dj's they dont have now due to GG. |

huh? lol your not getting the point dude
GG has a no competitor clause (or whatever) in their contracts, meaning if a dj signs to play with GG that they cannot then go play Ultra. If that dj then does play ultra, then they are in breach of contract and can be sued for ALOT of money. The point of this is to make artists exclusive to their event. So GG signed all these artists so that Ultra wouldnt have them. It has nothing to do with the artist themselves, its the GG contract. |

| Got ya. So thats the deal with Tiesto for sure? That he got asked for GG and didnt want a problem with Ultra or something for future events? Why would you care, if your good they will hire you again. Its not friendship per say(well some are like planet B have a deal with coolworld etc.) but Ultra will have Ferry and AVB in the future, so not sure why Tiesto would say No to GG and Ultra after party. If GG came back to miami, and ultra and GG asked him to perform, there is nothinig wrong with flip flopping between them. |

Tiesto I think isn't doing the festivals cause he makes a TON more money doing his own personal shows. Remember tickets for his gig are $75 each. Also contracts with clauses stipulating exclusivity are basic to these types of artists. Remember Pearl Jam a couple years back going against ticketmaster cause they wouldn't let them play at the venues they wanted (which were not owned by x promoter). If all these artists would play at both festivals what would distinguish them. You have your choice GG or Ultra or both. |

| Anyone know if thats the end to adding to the bill? I mean it def seems like they dont have a big name yet, though it is pretty late. Scoot Project all the way, that would be a huge sell put in my opinion, or yoji or blank and jones, since they are all in town on the 23rd, PLEASE GET THEM! |

How can you be frustrated with RITM, James Zabiela, The Orb, etc. Thats a hell of an afterparty if you ask me. |

its not that easy if there isnt a name added(which I dont think will happen) within the week then thats it...and Zabs is a pretty huge name im just disapointed because its not really my taste |
