| Its definitely a House mix...no denying that, but it fun listening to it. I don't know much about House, but you have some of the tracks I like hearing the locals play here so great work!!! |

| im not sure how to mix properly, but it sounds like you just faded in-out every song, the consistency (as far as bpm, in key) just doesnt seem right. it seems choppy. idk you might want to ask dave about it more cuz im lower than an amatuer on the dj knowledge scale. remember this is all IMHO. nice songs tho i finally got to id some that ive been hearing at h20. :D |

Thanks for the input.. I am trying to beat mix the songs.. I am mixing off of a computer software as we speak.. The software is close to My cdj - 700's I used to own so I feel comfortable with it.
I'll Add one more since I am using A good Host for music Now. |

| To be honest, I wasn't paying attention to the beatmatching. I was listening to it while I was working on some flyers. It must not have been bad if I didn't notice any messups or anything. |

the beatmatching was all right. right now i am experimenting with this type of music. a little more funkier maybe, i don't know, but along the same lines - house music. it is hard to do long fades with house because of the clashing melodies and vocals. its not like progressive and trance which i am used to mixing. so, naturally, the fades are going to be choppier and you will almost always realize when a new song comes in.
this mix is pretty good. at least good enough for a typical club dj. the mixing is a bit shaky in some parts with simple fader slaps, but i am sure part of it is due to the fact this was done on software. that's a big pet peave of mine. i hate it when software is used for mixing, but thats only an opinion. to each their own.
anyways, i thought the mix was pretty good and the track selection was put together well, even though it wasn't really what i listen to. |

This is where harmonic mixing can help..although I rarely play two vocal tracks back to back unless the two have 90 seoncd to 2 minute long outros and intros that do not contain vocals.

| As far as the mix..not quite the type of house I am into so I couldn't give an educated opinion...but the track arraingment is decent. The mixing...could use improvement, but if you are using software other than Ableton to mix with (atomix, pcdj, traktor.. like that) using only a mouse clicker and maybe some keystrokes I can understand. Whenever I record mixes..and this is a personal preference, I use the CDJ 1000s and borrow a friend's Xone 92. Not bad though, thanks for sharing. Robbie Rivera is someone I tend to keep a lookout on for new tracks/remixes I might add :). |

Guys, I really like the info to learn and I love to share music .. I am a House junkie and joined this site to learn more progessive and trance.. I am using Atomix and try my best to make it sound good even if I know it can sound better with Cdj's and Records.. Robbie Rivera and George Acosta for deep house are great dj's to learn from .. I think my mixes are goeed to go to the club with .. something to get you in the mood to dance with .. thanks for the info...

| I've been getting into House myself because there's so much of it here in SA. I'm taking a shine to Kaskade and Jake Childs from Houston is really producing some good stuff. |
