if it still renews with a 169.x.x.x IP address, "ipconfig /renew" again, and restart your computer.

DAMMIT!!! :whip: what do i do now? lol
DigitalMP
ipconfig /release and reboot.

if it's possible, try connecting your computer directly to the modem (bypassing the router), just for testing purposes.

but it's obvious you're not reaching the router.

it's either your network card, the cable, the port on the router, or you may need updated software. is sympatico your ISP?

don't worry meat, just focus on the other things in that post.

been watching this unfold, and i think its the router (config or other).

StereoPrincess
this bull happens to my stupid network at work.

the fix is to unplug the router and plug it back it. i have to do that at least 10 times a day, sometimes more.

i want to replace the router for the office, which do you guys recommend?

uuugh i restarted and nothing is happening. i look at the back of the computer and 2 outta 3 lights are on (for my network card or whatever)...so i guess that meant its all plugged in properely...but the configuration is messed? uugh i hate this...i have music to get on there! :whip:
