I know you're thinking not another remix of this..but this is my effort :) ...a lot darker & a bit harder than my normal style (theres no strings :eek: ) ...this has a picotto-esque bassline in it...hope you like it - feedback appreciated :)

I like that you did what you want...thats good...
but something with structure...need more automation...
and there is much chaos.pad,then rhytm,then bass,then rhytm out,then rhytm again,then something from other symphony...I think you must listen that 20 times...then you will see whats wrong with it...and you need some work with kick,and bass freqs.

the fuzzy distortion thing not my thing...
bassline is unique. kinda trippy.
to tell u the truth, i'm into the bassline at all...sorry.
like the other guy said. lots of chaos. there is no energy here.
needs some work, but good start!

i like it..
i can hear you are doing this in a logic setup:)
all you re fighting with is the arrangement imo. i think you have your style(like i do). and this will be your downfall. dont worry. there are plenty of peeps that like this style:)
im hoping svd likes this style:)
make sure you complete it cos even if it dont win i can imagine me playing this style:)
out of ten - im not sure... get the arragement sorted and ittll be high for me:)

I'm working on a remix myself so I thought I'd give this a listen.
congas are nice and kick is nice and deep, but theres a hiss through the track that doesn't really apeall to me... The rolling bassline also seems a bit distracting from the mood of the track and i dont think suits the other layers. Other than that, you have some nice fx elements in there that keep the track somewhat flowing...

cheers rich & iloop,yeah i know i need to sort the sample arrangements..they are a bit all over the place so i'll go back to it today..im not really used to making this sort of techno-ish sounding trance tho :rolleyes:
iloop : that hiss i think comes from the bitcrusher distortion effect i put on the congas..might turn them down a bit :)

Ok,here's an updated version - ive messed around with the structure of the synths a bit and upped the Tempo to 142 BPM! Still sounds a bit mental if you ask me :)

sounds like psy trance...not bad :) there is good side and bad side....first I think something wrong with EQ work...also I think you need upper bassline,that will add club effect or something...
but I expect more from you...keep up going! |

cheers linkmage,im not that experienced in EQing & mastering yet...just really experimenting with that side of producing at the moment :)
..i cant modify my remix anymore,one of the WAV samples fooked up and it auto-saved for some reason, so i cant go back to my original work :(

this dounds dark!
very picotto/piu sounding. nukleus/bxr in the good old days before it went !
the main perc loop seems a bit off time.. i didnt use it myself cos is found it sounded off..
the track sounds big and clean. i think the main issue is the loop.
maybe turn down the sweep sound. it gets a bit loud after a while.
also add a few techy sounds.
i can definately imagine this being played in a dark psy rave!
just sort that loop!
