Pat Robertson in bed with a mass murderer

Something he doesn't talk about on the 700 Club show:

Personally I never took this scumbag, greedy, bigoted redneck seriously as a man of Gods word. His net worth is 140 million, he lives on the top of a Virginia mountain in a huge mansion with a private airstrip. He's not a theologian, a preacher, or a Christian. He's a con artist
and a political poodle of the White House. Whatever the Pentagon or Dubya say, he just supports it.

Not only was he friends with former Zaire dictator Mobuto Sese Seko ( the butcher of Zaire ) who was a sadistic, murderous, dictator who kept his country's people in grinding poverty while he became on of the richest men in the world; he was also friends with the mass murderer former dictator ( Jorge Serrano ) of Guatemala who even hacked & beheaded women & children. There is surely a place in hell for this disgusting disgrace for a human being.

Also this liar real name is not even Pat. He shed his birth name, Marion, in favor of something that didn't make him sound like a homosexual, something he would never want to be confused with. So he choose something manly: Pat!

Some Pat Robertson quotes:

"The feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It's about a socialist, anti family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism & become lesbians"

"You say you're supposed to be nice to Episcopalians, and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense. I don't have to be nice to the spirit of the antichrist."

(911) "We have a court that has essentially stuck its finger in God's eye. We have insulted God at the highest levels of our government. Then, we say, "Why does this happen?" It is happening because God almighty is lifting his protection from us.

"There is no such thing as separation of church & state in the Constitution. It's a lie of the left and we are not going to take it anymore.

"Many of those people involved with Adolf Hitler were Satanists, many of them were homosexuals - the two things seem to go together.

"I would warn Orlando that you're right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don't think I'd be waving those flags ( gay pride flags ) in God's face if I were you.

I have always known this man was full of . Never taken anything he said seriously. Huge joke, makes Christianity a big joke, almost like he thinks he talks to God, just like George W. Bush, and Jerry Falwell. But these men are not Christians, in the sense of what Christ had taught, about love, forgiveness, non-violence and non-judgementalism. Their concept of God is some man in the sky who dictates right and wrong, watches our every move, and this concept of God is not what most mainstream Christians and theologians believe (fundamentalists believe this). It's not really the God portrayed in the new testament, rather their ideas go back into the Old testament, even back in the days of the greek Gods like Zeus, like some guy that will strike you down if you don't agree. They claim they "Speak to god" or "Speak for God" when they are talking about God, they are often talking about themselves.

It's quite scary...so whenver they say it's God's will to have a city (Dover Pennsylvania) or person destroyed (Hugo Chavez) or to wage War in God's name (Iraq), it's not in God's name (although they say it is), rather it's in their own twisted mind. This is not what most modern theologians believe about God. I don't even think Pat Robertson has even read the bible or even understands it. Now I'm not that big of a Christian in the sense of I believe anything the Church tells me (I'm more of a Christian in the way I live my life, not by going to church all the time, even though I'm forced to by my parents, I wouldn't if I was on my own (I'm not super religious), but I think even those who don't go to church or read the bible know more about what Christianity truly is about than these guys...

Couldn't agree more. While I am a Christian & I do go to church on a regular basis, Marion ( Pat ) Robertsons ramblings are an embarrassment to my faith, just as is George Bush portraying himself as a man of God ( or more like Pimping Jesus ). If the pastor of my church ever told me who to vote for, or started saying some of the Pat Robertson says, that would be the last time anyone sees me there.
Lepanto
How is he a man of Bush if he was around, the same way he is now, for years already.

They just compliment each other.

While Pat is not perfect, having made some rather large mistakes during his carier, alot of people forget that he's done alot of good things to alot of people, and alot of people do like his show. I however think his business transactions in Africa are a mistake and that he would feel very bad from the fallout from those decisions.

I kinda fell out of church when I started going to college. It wasn't so much that I did not beleive, but the way the kids in the southern baptist churches act, like their picture of God was so completely different than mine, even though we were reading the same text. This guy gives me that same feeling, his view of God is so wildly perverted.

Exactly, it's a very twisted version of God. It's not the God of the new testament. I don't think Pat really understands even what most mainstream Christians believe about God. Sure there's still some that think he's a man in the sky who watches our every move and interviens in our affairs, but others believe in a loving God who is a father and mother figure, meaning a God who both protects and nutures us. Sure God is often referred to as the "Father" in Christianity, but I wouldn't think that many theologians would disagree that God has a motherly aspect too. God is not some Zeus type figure as I noted, as Pat Robertson seems to believe in, rather like I said, his view of God is more based on himself, and that is wildly perverted as you've said.

Can't agree more. Lately I did start going to church again, but it's a non demoninational church that involves itself more in community involvement, and stays out of politics. If any of that changed I would leave it. Alot of Christians are real gullible & believe anything a preacher says, even if it goes against the bible or Christiany. In fact many dictaters in Muslim Countries today & in Christian societies in the past ( such as Europe in the Middle Ages ) use religion to control their societies. An example of how alot of Christians are gullible is that my pentacostal aunt whose views aren't much different than ProudRepublican ( who wont be so proud after they get their asses kicked next election ) got ripped off by someone in their own congregation in a shady business deal & went bankrupt because of it. She could have had the contract read by a lawyer ( my father ) who offered to do it for free. She said it wasn't necessary because "he was a good Christian man". Without going into details, the man was a career con artist, who protected himself from legal action in the contract, and her family lost their home because of it. The lesson in the story for any church, synagogue, or mosque going people on this forum is that

Anyone can say they are religious. Words mean nothing, actions do.

I did not believe anything Bush said before last election & was actually offended by his religious grandstanding ( as if implying Kerry was not a Christian - even though he is a devout Catholic ).
The problem in American is that alot of people will believe anything.
Even here in the DC Metro region:

The Washington Post leans democratic
The Washington Times is very right wing.

Alot of people in this region don't know that, and if they get all their news from one source ( and the news on the 700 club is the most biased of all - I love how he cuts out parts that dont agree with Pats views ) then they will obviously be biased & mis informed.

I really hope the dumbing down of America stops before next election, or there could be serious consequences for the future in
America. All the worthless garbage that has infiltrated the media ( stupid reality shows & horrible over commercialized music, especially all the I love being a guetto drug addict hip hop ) is proof of the "dumbing down of America".

Another interesting link:

God, Enron & the Christian Right

www.sullivan-county.com/identity/god_enron.htm

These people & lheir moral leader ( Marion Robertson ) represent Christianity no more than the Catholic Priest's that molest children.

I personally believe when someone deliberately goes out & commits a crime while representing God, that may be beyond anything that may be forgiven.
