| ok, I have ableton and fruity loops for a while now, but i work on FL at the moment coz i find it easier, anyway, recently i've installed lots of vst plugins. now ableton live runs them all, but fruity loops doesnt, its like fruity loops doesnt know that they even exist on my computer, can anyone tell me if there is a way where i can probably make FL scan my computer for those vst plugins so i can run them and start using them ?? |

| It's because the dll's for your VST's aren't in the FL6 VST plugin folder, most likely. You can move them there, or snoop around to find out how to make floops scan the folder where they are currently. |

| Yeh, copying the files to the data/plugins/vst folder should work. |

Yeah when you move the file into the vst folder you can go to the channels drop down menu and double click on add one. Hit refresh on the bottom right and it will pop up.
LOL i got the program 3 days ago..talk about ing around with it for 6 hours strait...haha |

The best way to do it would be to put them in a common folder (one that won't be deleted should you uninstall either program) such as C:\music\plugins
Then open up FLS.
Using the menu at the top, go to Options->File Settings
At the bottom of the window that opens, click the button marked "VST Plugins extra search folder"
Now browse to the folder containing all your VSTs. It's likely you'll have to do a simmilar process in Ableton, or get it to scan your computer (I don't know if it does that... but there are tonnes of dll files on your computer and it would take a long time for ableton to figure out if they were all VSTs I'd imagine...) |
