The book and movie are the work of a blasphemor.

Gnostic Gospel of Mary Magdalene is a real deal. cant call something blasphemy just cause church put anathema on it.

I can't wait to see it, but I'm disappointed that Tom Hanks got the role. I'd heard that Russel Crowe was up for it. He's way sexier.

And I love all of Dan Brown's other books. Did you guys play the online DaVinci Code game?

I'd like to see this...just b/c I love movies. Haven't read the book though, and honestly don't really have an interest to. I'll probably wait for the movie to come out on DVD.

if you're Catholic or Christian, then I can see how this book would be really offensive, as it is pretty much a direct attack on the church and it's fundamental beliefs.

however, if that's not who you are, then i would just say that this book while entertaining from a "thriller" point of view, is wrought with historical inaccuracies, full of speculation and widely disregarded historical/theological theories, and none of the information in the book should be taken as being fact or even well researched (it claims to be, but in reality it draws heavily on 3 books that are complete historical fiction). So if you're into a average written thriller (even on this aspect it suffers on some accounts) then this is your book :)

its a work of fiction

not facts.

it's like saying starwars and startrek are an attack on human life on planet earth.

I liked the book. It wasn't anything I would normally choose to read but I got it just because of the hype and enjoyed it.

Im surprised so many people think making a movie version of it will ruin it. The book itself reads just like a movie script and I think the movie will actually be much better. Honestly, the book was fun but not exactly a literary masterpiece.

I can't wait!

ps. the casting is perfect. I heart Audrey Tautou and Tom Hanks.

Not trying to put the da vinci code down, but it is a similar style book that i just studied in class and it was quite good.
