Can GHB be absorbed through your skin

| Hey guys ive asked around and no one can tell me for sure. So i'm putting my faith in you guys to put this bet behind a friend and I. CAN GHB be absorbed through your skin? let me know thanks |

I am not aware of any significant trans-dermal absorption of gammahydroxybutrate.
* Disclaimer: I am not a doctor, scientist, demi-god, etc. I have never heard of anybody becoming intoxicated via trans-dermal absorption of GHB (assuming no trans-dermal carrier such as DMSO was used).
GHB use is -not- recommended. The dose sensitivity and risk factors (of what can happen to you if and when you g-out) are both just too high.

| The skin is porous. So I am guessing that it any chemical / foreign substance when in contact with the skin will be absorbed. |

It depends on molecule size and the molecules ability to cross the dermal barrier.
One's skin is a protective layer - it's job is to keep bad stuff out. Even if the molecule size is small enough that is no guarantee it will cross the dermal barrier (not everything crosses the barrier easily)
DMSO is an effective carrier since it crosses the dermal barrier with ease. DMSO is also an effective solvent so some molecules (that are small enough) can dissolve into DMSO and then be carried (with ease) across the dermal barrier.
This is all speculative of course. |
