I forget I'm the only one who doesn't live in a perfect world. sorry. But yea go ahead and walk out on a gig when people showed up just to see you spin because a needle crapped out or an RCA went bad. That's really professional. I forget all of you guys are big time DJs making the big bucks.
I know I'd much rather save the night with a cheapo backup needle I brought from home than walk out and look like an arrogant prick. |

There is nothing arrogant about not putting your reputation in the dirt because you sound like you cant put two records together due to faulty equipment. I am not a big DJ but I have got where I am by taking take of the thing that gets me recognition and that is my performances. |

| Why the hell does it matter if you bring back up equipment or not?? Sure, the club should be responsible enough to make sure their equipment is up to par, but bringing some extra cable and some styli/carts isn't a big deal. It's not like you're bringing your whole set-up with you. Besides, if it should come to you needing it you've essentially rescued the night for alot of people. |

You are right it is a non issue, but I don't like being told I have a "piss poor attitude" becuase I expect to have basic equipment to DJ on.

Understandable, I just thought it was pretty stupid that you guys were having an argument over personal preference. |

Most clubs here have the basic equipment, as do most clubs in any area that's going to book a DJ. What I was referring to with your comment was that you came off as, "You need to demand the equipment." If you're a local DJ who has little to no reputation, you have no place to demand something as you're lucky enough to have a gig, and if you refuse to perform then the chances of you earning another gig just dropped. |

Dude, those M44-7's are perfect......probably better than anything the club will provide for you anyways..... i say, always bring your own carts no matter what. |

Hey you're an idiot or an , and we all understand that. I was just trying to help few people out and suggest they bring an extra cable or two and some backup cartridges, (along with your records/CDs, and something to clean your records/CDs, maybe a flashlight, and a towel would help.) But yeah you don't need any of that stuff. I apologize. And no I'm not talking about mobile disco you twat. I'm talking about being a professional who has his bases covered.
You sound like someone who knows the theory about DJing but who has never applied that knowledge to a working environment, and if you try to argue with me we all know you're full of . |

But see if you walk out on a gig that is IS putting your name in the dirt. But I don't expect you to understand that. |

| Man, Zild, at least admit that he has a point. You will just keep nagging until the other side gives up. |
