Theres no denying that you must take the responsibility, but what i don't agree is that at early stage of pregnancy that you should be stripped with the choice.
I know what you mean, but you must realise that the high level of poverty of people is just not the right time for a child to be brought in, thats all.
Then i guess that statement must be changed to for people that will be able to support then child with proper income, in this case, then it is the responsibility of the parent to take care of the child even if they weren't ready.
So i guess it depends on the persons circumstances that these decisions of abortion should be made, not equally the same for everyone.

| mandi raises an interesting point here about the pill being used as a contraception. recent studies have shown a large number of teenage girls now think just taking the pill or the morning after pill is an acceptable form of contraception because it prevents them from becoming pregnant. but they forget about the risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases and as a consequence the number of std's among teenages is rising. will ru486 only increase this problem? |

But you're not stripped of that choice. If women want, they can still have an abortion (I think -not 100%- up to 3 months?)!
I am well aware of the poverty in society and totally agree that if
impoverished people dont have the funds to raise & take care of a child, then they probably shouldnt be raising a child!
So should they all just get abortions? Its that so easy & simple.
I think not. These people shouldnt have sex, if thats the case!
People need to take responsibility for their actions!
