Hehe...it's so cute!
If you're just learning to make music, I would recommend starting in Fruityloops. It's a lot more user friendly, and is a great thing to learn from. Once you master that, then go into Reason and start making some kick-ass music :D |

Reason is nice, but I've been told by a relatively famous DJ that Logic Audio is the best proggie out there to make remixes...i got it a few days ago and i'm already making music.:) The interface is a little rough at the beginning, but once you figure it out it makes sense. Plus you can use all the VST plugins, and from what I understand it can play all of the instruments from Reason as well.
BTW I was thinking of getting that same exact keyboard, but I need to get a real sound card for my laptop first...unfortunately I'm probably gonna have to mail order it, since I can't just walk into the Guitar center like I'm used to anymore....

Don't get that keyboard, it's way too small. You need at least 48 keys. I have 32 and it's too small ..
That midikeyboard looks cool though, I like the knobs. Can you apply the knobs to functions in Reason or Fruityloops, if so it's awsome :) |

yeah, when u start using keyboards that small, they get to restrictive. U need to be able to have more keys. I have the ROland PC-70 MIDI controller, and it's great. I havn't hooked it up to Reason yet, but it works great with my Supernova. |

I was just shopping for a MIDI keyboard, and I too looked into the Oxygen8.. I'd have to agree with the number of keys, it doesn't have enough. I ended up buying an Evolution Mk-249c. They sell them at Mars Music (marsmusic.com). I don't know if you have one of those around you or not. I'd suggest getting that one, I'm totally happy with it! |

Trust me, use a bit more money, and get one with more keys.. you'll run into problems when you start making complex tunes, and if you want to play 2 notes at a time, on different octaves ... |
