(Borrowed from another forum)
-Scenario: A rich guy walks up to you and offers you the following proposition:
-You'll flip a coin with him and if you win he'll give you 1000 times whatever your net worth is in cash. If you lose, you lose your entire net worth.
-He also has a 100 sided die. If you roll any number but 1 you'll get double your net worth but you'll lose it all if 1 comes up.
So..which one would you pick?
Also..if you take the coin-which side would you pick? |
