Is there a way to make a single VSTi route out 2 seperate channels? I know both would be playing the exact same thing, but what I'm after is to be able to have 2 channels where I can apply effects to one, and leave the other alone. I know this was easy to do in Reason back when I used it. I know that I can add multiple midi tracks all assigned to the same VSTi however only one channel will appear for that instrument in the mixer. Thanks for any ideas. |

I'm not too sure if you can do what you are saying, because in the mixer you can only seem to designate one certain output. Why dont you just use send effects, creating fx tracks, or use group channels?
I also know that some vsts do have multiple outputs on them so it also depends on the vst you have...something like Battery has many different outs...both mono and stereo and these will appear as different outs on the mixer obviously, but you can assign effects to the different channels (assuming you already know this)
Why purpose are you trying to do this? Saving cpu power or what? |

You can use sends and pan them hard left and hard right (You can send one channel to a group channel in the same way you send it to an FX send channel). |
