I've got an opertunity to get a pair of Axis 9's for fairly cheap. I'm just wondering what they're like, I had a quick try on them in a shop and they seemed ok but I've never used CD tables before so don't REALLY know what I'm looking for. Any advice?
Thanks, Blackmore. |

| If you don't already know how to mix you aren't in a place to judge DJ eqipment, so just save yourself the trouble and buy Pionner. |

| I have nothing to complain about with the 200's... They just work perfect, every time... I would save up $ for the 200's. |

| Has any of you guys ever touched a Axis 9? I think you would buy a piece of crap wrapped in tin foil, as long as it has "Pioneer" written on it. |

Well, I have never tried the Axis, but I never said it would not do the job. I like the Pioneer, not because it is Pioneer, but because of the fact that I have never had any problems with it.
The Axis will probably play the tunes just like any CDJ, but i would have saved up for a Pio!:disbelief
And I would not buy a " pice of crap wrapped in tin foil, as long as it has "Pioneer" written on it ", Then I would buy a Denon :haha: |

| Thanks for the advice.... I think :D another question what about CDJ 500's I don't think I've heard them mentioned, are they any better/worse then the 200's?? |

the 500s are quite outdated. you can't even compare them to a 200.
For the price the 200 is the best deck out there. Sure it doesn't have vinyl emulation, but if you're spinning house/trance you dont need to scratch anyway. And if you really really wanna scratch, drop $250-300 on a used technics.
I thought long and hard, and the fact that I got two decks with 0.02% pitch for less than the price of one cdj800 or 1000 is a huge plus. The loop cutter, and effects are great. The WAH functions as a bandpass filter ..
so.. go for the CDJ200,.. over an axis9, DN1000, etc. |

+1
the pio's is the best in that price class anyway, and I love the effects, even though I use the inbuilt effects on the mixer more.

get the cdj200.
the accuracy on them is 0.02 while on the axis 9 its 0.10 |
