Starting djing what should i get?

| Iv been intrested in electronic music for ages now, but recently iv been really wanting to DJ, im not sure what to buy right now. im thinking the CDJ 800 or 1000. But only thing about buying the 1000 will it be to advanced for me? also Im not sure what kind of mixer to buy. My budget is going to be around 1000- 1500. i only have 600 right now so i think im going to just buy a cdj for now intill i get rest of my money. Whats your thoughts on what i should do? |

You should get some turntables, maybe a few cd decks, a mixer, some speakers, a receiver, some wirers, a table, and a lava lamp
bout the cdj 1000 i would buy it |

decide if u wanna go CD's or Vynil or MP3 (software with timecoded stuff).
there are so many options nowa-days. |

| If you just wanna go MP3/WAV go CD, if you want both go vinyl and CD, but there are more and more releases that are also on MP3/WAV nowadays that the best bet is CDJs. If you can afford it, get the CDJ 1000s, you wont ever have to upgrade. There's the MK3 coming out soon, and by that time the CDJ 1000 MK2 should come down in price, and although it doesn't play MP3 discs, 10 tracks or less per CD is fine, you really don't need 40+ tracks per CD. |

| If you are looking to get cdjs and a mixer with a limited budget but want some quality in your products then I would suggest getting something used. Most likely off of ebay or craigslist. I got technics from craiglist that were used and the guy who sold them to me had got them off of someone before him so who knows how old they are but they run prefectly. |

my 1200s are old as .. i'm pretty sure one of them is from the 80's
things are built like a tank though, still work like they're brand new |
