Turning on turntables & mixer with external power knob

I'm planning to make my own dj booth. The mixer will be built in the table, but the power switch is at the back of the mixer. I was thinking of buying a power block (don't know if it's the correct name) so I can turn on my gear with one switch. ==> http://www.duwo.nl/energie/Maaike1.jpg
Is this ok, or could it damage the gear? |

| Hmmm I dunno. Technically, when turning everything on you do the tables/cdj, then the mixer and then the power source (amp, stereo, etc.) and then when turning everything off it is backwards. All on and off at once... I dunno if I would take the chance of blowing something out. Maybe someone here has had experience with it though and could say otherwise. |
