I dunno how to describe the sound of this, odd? It's cool :)
I had some problems with finishing my own remix of this tune, but after listening to this I think I have got my inspiration back! Too late for me tho... Back to yours!
Bassline is cool, some strange piano, sounds like it's from an old western movie :p The main part @ aprox. 4min isn't that interresting, but it's good with the alternative melody afterwards. You could have used another instrument to the lead thingy @ 1:29 imo. Very relaxing to listen to :) |

Everything sounds very dry, could be spiced up imo, but you maybe want it this way?
It's not the best I've heard from you, I like Blue Midnight very much.
The low attack pad in the break is very cool with the "flute", it gives the flute power.
Nice soundeffects through the song.
I like the piano, especially that part around 5 mins.
This thing with the skipping notes, examples: 3:30, 4:15, 6:08.
Is it supposed to be this way? Sounds weird.
Keep it up!

Hey man,
I wanted to use this one as a second runner up but unfortunaly the label told me they just could pick one :(.
Very nice job :D.

Very cool track, as speactra said maybe a bit dry and too much "in your face", dunno really, but it's bothering me..
That's really the main issue, synths and percs are good, nice job :) |

Hey... I´ve got to agree with Lokhen, it´s maybe a bit dry and too much "in your face". The kick seems to have too much power in the 80-120hz area.. Anyway it´s a solid production, the effects are cool. The track could have more powerful percussions to add a ethnic, tribal feel to it. Nice production anyway...

Spaectra: the skipping notes was a VST bug i was too lazy to fix :)
Kopi: thanks alot, ill remember this fifth place :whip:
Lokhen: thanks
Lakeus: yeah i suspected there was something wrong with the kick, thanks for pointing that out..

Listening...
Strange kick, but it starts to grow on me. Perhaps that arp is a bit weak sounding, in fact I could probably fart a more powerful arp ;).
Percs that come in are great, driving.
Bassline could do with being a bit more low end, but nice driving pattern. Nice xylo style melody.
Piano is very good, nice atmosphere at this point. Sounds cool when the beat comes back in, perhaps could do with some more warmth though.
Nice variations on the main melody.
Overall nice tune, but fo' sure not your best man *cough* maranjana *cough*. |
