The 2nd pool in the next round... with Venezuela, Cuba, Puerto Rico, and Dominican Republic is going to have some great games...
And I hope the USA's only problem is holding Ichiro to going 4-4 or something, and the USA strolling to a 3-0 record in the next round... |

In case no one noticed, there was a man at the Cuba/Netherlands match behind home plate holding a sign that said: "Down with Castro". Of course the game was broadcast in Cuba, a place where criticizing the dictator is not wise. Here is an interesting story about the event and Cuban officials attempt to stop him...while in Puerto Rico

I was at the soldout Cuba-Puerto Rico game and it was an amazing experience.
But Cuba right now is playing some great baseball...beating Venezuela 7-0 in the 7th inning...
Can't wait for tonight's game: PR vs. DR. That will be a great matchup between undefeated teams. |

I knew that was coming.... hard to believe such a PROLIFIC manager such as Buck Martinez got that call.... I'm kidding, I can't stand Buck... I don't like his skills... but I loved the call... because it was wrong of the head chief to do that...lol...
Venezuela and perhaps Dominican going to lose.... couple of surprises to me anyway.... |
