Amen. Coachella has some sort of gestalt going on; it's greater than the sum of its parts.
And if you're not too excited about bands/DJs that are there, go withn an open mind. You'll likely find someone new that you love. Or be forced to re-evaluate your opinions.
Sunday tickets will sell fast. Don't wait too long to buy. |

come on dave, madonna hurting dance music??most of the 40 year old soccer moms that listen to her current cd, would not even know what dance music is...
madonna is probaly THE biggest act to EVER be booked there and she deserves it, like her or not she just like pop groups like coldplay and radiohead have earned the right to be there.... |

HOW THE HELL ARE THAT MANY PEOPLE GOING TO FIT IT THAT DANCE TENT?
putting madonna in that dance tent is a bad idea, when she does concerts at arenas they sell out FAST, so how in the hell do they expect that many people to fit in a small tent??

Madonna is AWESOME!
Despite her advancing age, shes done her best to adapt to new sounds and what is current. And there is NOTHING wrong with that.
To say she should stop singing and making new music would be a big loss.
There is a reason she was booked into the dance tent at Coachella. Whether you like it or not, she deserves to be there.
Some people just need to remove the thumb from up their ass and have some fun for god sake.
SHESH!
p.s. - I do question how they will fit everyone who wants to see her into that tent. :/ |

I totally disagree with this outlook on Madonna. She has an amazing voice that far surpasses that of many of the singers usually associated with Dance music.
She's a talented dancer, far moreso then Britney or J-Lo or any of that other disposable Pop.
She's a chameleon that has managed to stay hip by staying versatile -She's first and foremost a singer, then a Pop singer, then a Dance singer. That's why her voice fits well on everything from R&B ballads, to upbeat Pop and Dance, to and even nostalgic 1920 style Go Go music as featured on the Dick Tracey soundtrack back in 1990.
Her allegiance to Dance music goes back to the early 80s when she was dating a well known New York club DJ named Jellybean Benitez. So she's always been a true of this music, and it's always influenced her when coming out with new material. In the 90s she was also a well known celebrity and frequenter at the top clubs in South Beach. |

LOL Only Madonna could get you guys in an uproar like this. You can love her, you can hate her, but she's here to stay way longer than any of our names will be rememberd in history.
