Hi All

I have problem with automatization controll JP 8000 in my Cubase.
Everything is great but I can't controll the parameters from JP in Cubase.
Are there any programs to this ???
How can I controll JP with my PC ( Cubase ) ???

Read the manual.. You have 2 MIDI ins, you're using the wrong one...
No Left Turn
check your jp's manual for the midi control numbers of all the parameters on the jp. then in cubase, in the midi track assigned to the jp, add a new controller for whatever parameter you want to automate by selecting the relative control number.

The pianoroll is working great.
I hear the sound and I can record it to audio .
The only problem is the one thing.
I'm changing the parametrs in Cubase but the sound is with no changes.
Maybe I forget about anything in options ?

That is one thing I never to bother figuring out when I owned a JP8080. The MIDI keyboard IN doesn't let you change parameters I don't think, but you need it to be able to play it. I think you have to use the MIDI IN as well for sending parameters from cubase, but I could be wrong.

Not sure what you're doing exactly...if you're getting sounds, then your midi cables are probably plugged in correctly. Each part on the JP needs to have a midi channel assigned to it so that cubase can control it. And the track in cubase must correspond to that channel.
You also have to set the program switch up correctly........please read the manual. Its all there.

I'll bet dollars to donuts you don't have an 8080. They're wierd. they have TWO midi Ins, a control input and a remote keyboard input. One let you trigger arps the other lets you control it will ccs / sysex..

Hence my original comment about using the wrong MIDI in if you are only going to have one hooked up.

You need to have both hooked up to use it fully. No idea why Roland came up with such a dumb arrangement for this device. only one in their history I've seen them do this one.. :-(

My first synth (of many) was a JP8000. It does not have two midi inputs btw...just midi in and midi out. Sorry to hear about your probs with the JP8080...the dual midi in thing sounds weird.

If i remember you must check setup in your JP

download this manual and go to page 96,97,98 to "Settings of Recording" and more

Read this.

the JP has tons of midi settings to change within its brain , go dive in and set it up properly. There is a manual avalable online!
