digital: Yeah I technically still work for Schlumberger. It's a long story. Don't want to bore ya :).

Are you going to this? Man I haven't gotten out in so long it sucks being a responsible adult hahaha j/k.

Anyway, I guess the only way to get tix is through ticketmaster huh? Man they always want to rip an arm and a leg for service charges.

Boo!

First, as some have said ... hats off to Sean for bringing a variety of acts to town. Also I am a Tiesto fan - for good or bad. About the Oct 24 2003 show, it was about one of the worst nights I've seen Tiesto (it's been dozens). It was cool that it was at Rich's and it could have been a great night, but the vive was a little whack in my opinion. Tiesto started nicely with 3 good tracks, but you could tell his whole mood was shot after some girl kept making the record skip. As somebody said in the thread back then "the worst party foul." Somebody should have kicked her out of the club or threaten such. I though Tiesto would never want to come back to Houston becasue of it. His set after that was just did not flow. Yeah, he played some nice tacks, but that was it. Anyway, for what it matters, Tiesto seems to be playing a lot more serious again (wether you like his mixing or not) and it should be a good night. I seriously doubt he would play Sparkles, but you never now.
As for those that are going just for the chics, hmmmm. It's cool that you might meet chics, but that shouldn't be the only reason. One the cool things about the scene is that it normally doesn't feel like the typical meat-market of mainstream clubs. Good luck to ya'll though.
Best night in Houston for a major DJ had to be PVD this past November and I'm not a big PVD fan. The sets that night were solid - including Matthias's set.

i'm there for the scene, i'm there for the music, i'm there for the dancing. i in love it, and assuming i'll be in town, I'M ALL DOWN FOR IT

Hell yeah, if he plays Sparkles it's going to be mighty interesting. I'll probably be pulling a :happy2:

true that, I got a friend that went to the hoobastank(sp?) concert and he told me the place was cool.

I'll comment on the venue after Junkie XL, it's in the same place if I'm not mistaken.

As for this event, I don't have tickets and it sounds like they're sold out, so whoever predicted that I'd end up there anyway will probably be disappointed. And I doubt the door price, if they even let people in at the door, will be less than $40, which is too rich for what I'm getting.

part of me wants to go just to be able to say "yes I saw him live, and yes I still don't like him," unless he pulls an entirely uncharacteristic set from somewhere. Or maybe if I get drunk enough I'll like it. It's difficult to hate music when you're sloppy piss-drunk.

Junkie got moved to the meridian if im not mistaken. So are all vip tix gone now or what?
