What settings should I use for sample rate and bit depth to get the best quality I can get for a mix/rip? OMNIFEX It depends. I don't use Sound Forge, I use Wave Lab. However, the concept is the same. For MP3, I record the .wav file @ 48000 Khz, 16 bit. For a CDR, I record the .wav file @ 44000 Khz, 16 bit.
