MDR-V6 Killer? WOAH! Sennheiser HD280 Pro!!
View this Thread in Original format

Hi all.

So far, I have mentioned three headphones that I recommended for DJ use..

the Sony MDR-V6
the Sennheiser HD25
the Beyerdynamic DT250-80

Now, I would like to add a new one to that list...

the Sennheiser HD280 Pro..

here, check this thread out!

While all of them block out "enough" outside sound for your uses, the 280 Pro blocks out WAY more than anything else, folds a little more than the V6, costs only a little more than the V6, but is slightly bigger. Read the thread!!

Hey Gluegun! I've recently seen the new Sony V900.. Are they any good?
Gluegun
Nah, the V900's and the MDR-7509's aren't really worth it... mediocre sound, and they aren't even made for DJ's...

Just, go with one of these four headphones, depending on your needs and location and budget:

Sony MDR-V6
Sony MDR-7506 (same as v6)
Beyerdynamic DT250-80
Sennheiser HD25
Sennheiser HD280 Pro

damnit I just bought my v6's:)

^ ditto

Don't worry--the V6's cost lest, are more durable, aren't as bulky, block out plenty of outside sound, etc. etc.

This just means that you have four options that are, ah, audiophile approved instead of three. Which can only be a good thing! That way, you can narrow down exactly what your needs are... and remember, the v6's are cheapest in the US, and sennheisers are cheaper in Europe, generally... so, get what suits your needs in your local price range.

How much will a pair of v6 cost? In this country, I have to get EVERYTHING through Internet order or directly through the manufacturer. Things suck as a DJ here.

Check out these threads about V6's in Singapore.

Oh, and you *CAN* get the MDR-7506's (same as the V6's) locally...
