ok before I did a whole for myself on this one... let me check when I get home tonight....
One thing I know for sure... I have this tune, the version played by Oakie on GU... I bought it after my bro became a massive fan of the track having heard the album. I got it a year or so later from a 2nd hand vinyl store.
I will dig it out tonight...
It was a massive fav at the local parties I played and always went down a storm when dropped in...

Im still not 100% on this.
I'd go so far as to say that the pic has been edited. It looks wrong. Look at the sharpening around the middle of it, and how perfectly white the rest of it is.
Doesnt add up, IMO.
Take a look at it in closeup. Look at the sharpening, look at the JPEG compression (its been very very heavily compressed and then decompressed). The middle of the pic looks utterly wrong. Notice also how there are no vinyl grooves. Here it is 9 times it original size.
This seller might be totally honest, but I wouldnt pay £200 unless I was SURE it was genuine. Why hasnt he posted a pic of the side with the writing on? Beats me.
Edit: And I dont believe it has a black sleeve on it either.
Bit dubious IMO. To me, that picture stinks of being fake. Which would mean I wouldnt risk bidding. |

Lol even looking at it more :D The round circle in the middle is blatently added. And then a gradient fill applied from left to right (white to black).
Im 99% certain the whole of the middle part is a copy/paste job :D |

regarding the pic... what if he just posted a random "white label" photo... then that would kill this whole picture theory, right?
what about the fact that 3 copies have appeared over the past two days out of nowhere? |

yeah oakenheath is a pretty good ebay seller...and he always has rare oakenfold tunes. i'm pretty sure that i've bought from him in the past...

hmmmm...well i don't think it can be a real pressing. all of these pressings just coming out all of a sudden? maybe someone had a complete version of the track somehow and had them pressed? but sure doesn't sound like an official pressing... |

Him having one copy I could understand, but two?
If there were only 4 copies pressed (seems to be the common thought)... then Oakey has 1, he has 2 and Kuff has 1.
Doesnt add up. Too much of a coincidence.
Again, its quite possible that the seller is 100% genuine, and that he believes the record is genuine, even though I really really suspect that it isnt, and is a reconstruction/bootleg/etc. |
