Hertz' first release of this year, at least, as far as I know. My tastes have strayed away from the stuff he tends to produce and play a bit, but as he's always quality I thought I'd check out this release.
The A-side, Lost, does not really do anything for me, it's like I'm listening to a toughened up version of an electro house track, like they are churned out by the dozen at the moment.
The B-side, Once again, is far more interesting with a somewhat haunting and freaky lead and a breakdown that will undoubtedly go down pretty well on dance floors. It even reminded me of Recreate a bit. This one's definitely the better of the two track on this slab of vinyl.

"Lost" has sorta that electrohousething that is popular but it also sounds like a wimpy version of the techstuff he used to release on q records. will appeal to the right crowd i think, not perticulary to me. and it's probably going to sneak into some housedj's tracklists
"Once Again" is very clubby even with it's techy underroot. it sounds techtrancish at points. from the sample it sounds like a good track and will probably also gain alot of support i think.
good vinyl allnall |
