Electro Bass

Hey all,

Ive been experimenting around for quite a while, but i still havent mastered the art of creating the bass sounds/tones, that are used in quite a lot of the current electro house at the moment.

Ill put the links to a few tunes that have this style of bass, and hopefully if you have the time and the expertise, you could help me to recreate, or at least explain the sound/processing techniques needed to arrive at these sounds.

Thanks in advance :)

usually that are pure square or saw waveforms. the hard part is to get the pattern right which gives the groove and the harmonizing between the kick and the bassline (especially eq'ing)

Thanks..

If anyone in able to make a patch/basic pattern up on any popular vst softsynth, and a brief explaination.. I would be very grateful :)

Cheers :p

just tried something.. as i don't listen to elektro i'm not sure if this is still elektro or something like house. but anyway, here's the link http://www.solarproject.ch/linked/c...lektro-test.mp3

if you think it's something that is near the one you're looking i can explain how i made it.

Tis a little trancey.. im sure without the reverb/delay or whatever processing youve applied, it'd sound quite close hehe :)

what are the names of those tracks you provided the samples for?
Eyeofthejedi
They're a couple of Hernan Cerbello tunes..

Just took the samples off juno to save me uploading samples :)

sounds like a heavily effected 303 emulation synth could have been used

the first is a square wave, the second sounds more like a 2 osc saw with low cutoff, but i couldnt hear it well on these speakers at work
